Online Skills Building through m-learning for Youth in disadvantaged communities

LCCE implemented one of the first capacity building programs on vocational training that is totally based on mobile video conferencing technology to provide theoretical and practical courses for the participants. The capacity building program, funded by Near East Foundation, reached 230 men and women living in disadvantaged communities in Halba, Berqayel and Taanayel between August and September 2020. This innovative approach enabled the trainees to gain digital skills in addition to vocational skills to launch their home based businesses.
For the second year on a row, LCCE collaborates with the Near East foundation to empower youth and women on income generating activities and to start their micro-entreprises and home based businesses. In 2019, the capacity building program reached 207 youth and women living in disadvantaged communities in Halba, Berqayel and Taanayel. It was implemented between March to June 2019.
